Dear Minnesota Conference Members:

On Tuesday, May 31, the Conference office team received word that president-elect, Craig Carr, has chosen to remain in his current position as Ministerial Director of the Mid-America Union. He shared that it was a very difficult decision, and believes God is leading him to stay where he is. Conference leadership is working with the Mid-America Union office to begin the process of finding a president to serve here in Minnesota. According to the Conference Articles & Bylaws, the Nominating Committee will meet with the Conference Board of Trustees to share names, which will be pursued by the Board. These meetings will likely be chaired by Gary Thurber, President of the Mid-America Union.

On another note, Pastor Eric Mokua will be transitioning from his position as senior pastor of Faith Church International into his role as Vice President for Administration effective July 15, 2022. This will allow him to tie up loose ends, particularly as it relates to Twin Cities African Camp Meeting.

Please join the Conference office team in praying that God will continue to guide and direct in the search for a new Conference president, and that God’s work will continue to prosper throughout Minnesota.
