enditnow Day: A Sabbath set aside to focus on the very real problem of abuse, in our society and in our church. We recognize that children, women and men are victims of abuse. God abhors abuse of every kind and we are hoping to do our part in educating our churches so that we can respond in loving, helpful and understanding ways when we witness or hear of abuse. Check out the NAD Women's Ministries website for a complete guide to hosting an enditnow church service in your home church, including a sermon, children's story, song suggestions and scripture readings.

Women's Retreat: Keynote speaker will be Bonita Joyner Shields, currently serving in the Sabbath School/Personal Ministries Department of the General Conference as Editor and Assistant Director for Discipleship.
Prior to joining the SSPM staff, Pastor Shields served for five years as an assistant editor of the Adventist Review, and for almost seven years as an associate pastor of the Spencerville Church in Silver Spring, Maryland. While at the Spencerville Church, she was responsible for the children’s, women’s, and teaching ministries of the church.
Pastor Shields received her undergraduate degree in theology at Columbia Union College (now Washington Adventist University), and her master’s degree in pastoral ministry from Andrews University. She and her husband Roy have been married for 31 years.
“I ran from my calling for many years. However, once I embraced it and held the Lord to His part of the bargain of equipping me for the work, I discovered my true identity. As we spend time together this weekend, I pray the same for you as you discover and respond to the Lord’s calling on your life. Our callings may all be different, but it’s the same God who works in us and through us to accomplish His purposes.”
With a powerful presentation and breakout session by Mary Jo Dubs, developer of God in Shoes - a community outreach event. Don't miss it!
